KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER:
Registration for the program begins September 1, 2008. To pre-register, please click the "Pre-Register" button on the left side of the page. The deadline for the online application has been extended until 11:59pm EST, February 8, 2010. Likewise, all required transcripts must be received in the UNCFSP office by this date.
The complete application consists of several components. Each component must be finished in order to have a completed application. The indicated fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
Clicking the "UPDATE" button allows you to officially submit your data. Thus, you can save your work and come back to make additions, deletions, updates, and/or corrections to your application on or before the deadline.
It is important that you provide all the requested information. Likewise, please ensure that all of your answers are accurate and complete. Your answers will be verified before you are selected and offered an award. You will be disqualified if the information you provide is inaccurate or misleading. Providing false information or your inability to satisfy the eligibility requirements will result in the disqualification of your application.
The NSTI Staff and the Technical Support Team will use email as the primary form of communication with the applicants and the recommender. Therefore, please be sure email addresses are listed correctly, kept clear and in working order at all times.
Questions for the NSTI Staff or the Technical Support will be handled as soon as possible. Please know that neither the NSTI Staff, nor the Technical Support team will be held liable for any missed email communications.
After review of all application materials, a cohort of up to 20 scholars will be selected. Scholar selection will not be final until verification of the graduate school has been received.
Scholar award notifications will be made by April 15th.
The complete application packet consists of:
- Completion of all online application components
- Three (3) online Recommendation Forms
- Official Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (mailed directly to the UNCFSP office.) Please return to your online account before the deadline to verify that your transcript has been received. If you are applying for more than one UNCFSP sponsored opportunity, you only need to have one transcript sent.
